Who He Is
Mission-Driven Leadership
Michael R. Terry is a public service leader and educator whose
work centers on helping people make better decisions under
pressure. After years in law enforcement, crisis response, and
community outreach, he built
Ready for Real Life Instruction and Education (MMMF)
to teach practical life skills that transfer across school,
family, work, and digital settings.
His graduate work at Columbia College also earned recognition
through the
2025 Columbia College Alumni Association Scholars
honors, reflecting both academic merit and meaningful contribution
to the college community.
Who She Is
Rooted in Community and Excellence
Mekenzi Terry grew up in Tooele, Utah, just down the road from the
man she would later marry. From the beginning, she was known as
someone who did everything and did it well. She competed in dance
and basketball, cheered on the sidelines, and earned three state
championships with the Tooele High School softball team. She was
crowned homecoming queen, not because she chased attention, but
because people were naturally drawn to her.
She married Mike in 2008 and has built a life alongside him
through the demands of law enforcement, raising five children, and
investing deeply in every community she has been part of. In many
ways, Mekenzi is the original teacher behind Ready for Real Life
Instruction and Education (MMMF). Mike will be the first to say
she taught him much of what he knows about how children learn, how
people carry themselves, and how adults communicate with
integrity.
